In the four years of my stay in Pisay, there are some things that I have inevitably learned. Whether I like them or not, these lessons sure are a pain in my neck.
1. Wake up early - I am a dormer. Everyday is always a battle in the bathroom/showers. I realized that not only waking up at seven will not only make me late for class, but also make me miss breakfast.
2. Eat Breakfast – In my four years in this school, I have learned that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Without breakfast, I would be crawling down the stairs after my 10:00 math class. Though this year, there are breaks in between classes, so I can have breakfast even though it’s late (that is, if teachers won’t take our free periods).
3. Sleep “Early” – Sleeping a 2 am in the morning doesn’t really help at all. Doing homework, chatting with friends and staring into space will start to get to your body if they are done on a daily basis starting from 10:00 in the evening. I started sleeping earlier during the last few weeks of this school year and it sure has it’s merits.
4. Procrastination is Bad – As a Pisay student, I am not excempted from those who cram their heads off during the day of submission of a requirement. It takes a toll on your mind and body to do all those computations and typing during lunch break.
5. Make-up Tests are Hard – The Post-quarter Exams sure are a pain if you take three in one day, right after the perio. I’ll make it a point to follow the four lessons above so that I don’t end up in a hospital again this year.
